MEMORIAL WEEKEND FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE TUNISIA TERRORISTS ATTACKS

I have put this post up now as I have spoken to everone in the association and recieved their feedback, and it seems an appropriate time to publicise this years memorial weekend for the victims of the Tunisia Terrorist Attacks.

This year association members will remember all victims and those who were known to many of us ,on the 24th,25th and 26th of June 2016 ,by abstaining from our lovely hobby.

It is only fair that we show our respect this way as many of the victims families can no longer enjoy their hobbies with them anymore.

we respectfully ask other clubs in Derbyshire, independent detectorists ,rally organisers, and clubs outside Derbyshire thinking about detecting in Derbyshire that weekend to join with us in showing respect to the victims and their families  in this way.

we are publicising this event  very early to give people plenty of time to change their plans.

at this time I also wish to express our condolonces to the families of the victims and injured of the terrorist attack in Brussels.

sincerely

OUR SINCERE CONDOLONCES

On behalf of all members and the Association I would like to express our deepest sympathies to everyone in the National Council For Metal Detecting ,any members of the NCMD in our Association and to the Family of the late Mr Trevor Austin General Secretery of National Council For Metal Detecting on his bereavement just recently.

I personally did not know The good gentleman but some of the “old boys ” in the association  did know him and have only good things to say regarding him.

sincerely

REMEMBERING THE VICTIMS THIS YEAR

We’re just planning ahead for this years event and the Association would like all members opinions on the timing of this years memorial activitity for the victims of the Tunisia Terrorism attack. We are asking for this early and before the end of this month,so that we can decide a date for this years No Detecting Weekend ,so that we can publicise it to the  media, other clubs/associations and independent metal detectorists in Derbyshire.

were also looking for practical ideas to encourage more young people to take up the lovely hobby of metal detecting. All ideas have to be practical and most importantly to  be presently/future safety proof for members and the association.

looking forward to all your thoughts

john
